Salmon in oil with dill and lemon verbena
Salmon from the Faroe Islands is an exceptional source of Omega-3 fatty acids , essential for heart health, reducing inflammation, and improving cognitive function , as well as high-quality protein , necessary for developing and maintaining muscle mass , while also supporting optimal energy levels . In addition, it is rich in vitamin D , an essential nutrient for strengthening the immune system, bone health, and improving mood , thus contributing to a balanced and beneficial diet.
Isolated in the heart of the North Atlantic, the Faroe Islands offer a perfect environment for salmon farming thanks to their crystal-clear, unpolluted waters and consistently cool temperatures. Strong currents and sheltered fjords contribute to the development of superior quality salmon, with a firm texture and a balanced taste.
To this FANGST salmon, I added a dusting of crushed verbena and catina – a fruit that grows along the northern coasts and is known as the "northern lemon".
